Man, I've had a crappy time since i finished my degree

Have you considered other countries? Canada etc. are welcoming people with your kind of quals. Also Asia values these kind of quals so wouldnt hurt to check it out!

Sorry I didn't get time to go through all of the thread as I'm in a rush out the door here. What type of work are you looking for? Willing to re-locate? May have something you'd be interested in checking out

I have also just graduated. I was working full time at a game studio after uni doing QA. The reason I stuck it out was because they offered me a trainee artist position which sounded amazing. Unfortunately, they didn't follow through to I sacked it all in and moved back home. I began job hunting like a mad man, and came across a CAD/3D modelling job on gumtree which was perfect for me.

I applied and soon heard back, and went in for an interview. Beat 6 other people for the job and been working there for just over a month and really loving it.

As mentioned, you must use ALL job sites. I never thought in a million years I would find a graduate job on gumtree. Adjust your CV accordingly to each role, bend the truth abit if you must, where ever you start they will be pretty much training you anyway. It's time consuming and demotivating when you don't hear anything, but you must stick at it. Prehaps get a part time job in a bar, you will have a laugh and make loads of friends. Keep it up!

Tbh though it really depends on the industry you want to get into. A lot of my class wouldn't get out of bed for less than £25k for example (and feel rather cheated) I also have several undergrad friends who were probably on the equivalent of £40-50k pretty much straight out of uni.

Class isn't necessarily important, as long as you pass it should be fine.the quality and relevance of the masters is the biggest factor imo. If you can just slip into a masters without any issues then its probably not very good. If there are far more applicants than places and it has good words from the industry you want to get into then jump on it if you can get in.

Ok I sort of lied on the £40-50k thing... Just looking up the jobs at the moment it works out at ~£70k for a graduate job... Yeah I know exchange rate comes into it but still...

I'm currently sending off a few CV's to see if I get anything back...

Also higher living costs in some areas abroad, I've known people stung through contracting abroad.

That's Oz so as long as you don't live in Kalgoorlie (most work is FIFO) it should be ok. I'm just contacting a couple of friends out there to see what it's like. I just don't want to be stuck in a London office doing a 9-5 with hardly any time off just yet...
