What a horrible thing to happen. My heart breaks for his family, how would you even cope with a loved one dying in such a bloody weird and unlikely way.

So unfortunate. So so unfortunate. As much as a mercy that it may be he's literally unlikely to have known what hit him, it would have been quick.

saw this earlier :( someone has been rather negligent - I guess this is a risk sometimes with old buildings etc.. but there shouldn't be much excuse for it happening on a new build!

I remember a few years back where a shop sign fell and killed a passer by. Think it was from a bookies.

As Dis86 said, so unlucky. Some people die early because of preventable things such as bad diet, joy riding, death penalty, gang violence, extreme sports, etc. Then there is this guy minding his own business and killed for no reason at all.

Life eh, what a joke it is.

Not that it will bring the poor guy back but I hope the company/individuals get taken to the cleaners.

Edit: I assumed it was being fitted at the time, just looks like its come off the hinges.

William Hill in Camden by any chance?

I'm staying at the Park Plaza (next door), saw the tent thats been erected and all the walkway is cordoned off by police, grim to read this is the reason why :(

Just goes to show you never know when your time is up.

Tragic, I hope he had no idea..... RIP.

Yeah, it's the random deaths during the mundanity of life that tend to hit home the most.

Imagine getting that news on a random Tuesday in a 'normal' regular week.
