Man kills a vampire

'He seized the iridescent bird by the neck, hurled it to the ground and started kicking and stomping the creature, said worker Felicia Finnegan, 19.'

Bad taste but it made me LOL.

I hope he did it correctly, the sword, the steak and the fire. Otherwise it could end badly for humans if the Whamphyri came back in strength! ;)

"Authorities were looking for the attacker, described as in his teens or early 20s."

with a description like that they will have him caught in no time at all

Nothing like roasting some good steak on a sword over an open fire.

Animals get worse treatment than that in abattoirs; honestly, who would have let him do it, anyway?

Can they Prove the Peacock was Not a Vampire :)
In pretty much all legends, vampires are VERY VERY hard to kill. A simple beating wouldn't have sufficed to kill a real vampire. Guy Crazy should have realised this when he did it, or perhaps he did and that's why he ran off, filled with guilt over the death of an innocent?

''It's just unbelievable that someone would do something to a poor, defenseless animal and do it in such a cruel fashion,'' he said.
My experiences of peacocks that are in "the wild" in New Forest is anything but "defenseless".. those things are more vicious than dogs can be.

* Warning Off topic *

I got ran by a Bantum (sp?) once :( As tough as i think i am this little black red beaked monster attacked me & i legged it :p I was about 5 at the time but it still haunts me to this day :D
Fortunetly an old man who was quite obviously trained in the art of bantum beating steamed it & chased it off with his stick, i was saved by a Pensioner :D
I would take a stick/baseball bat to any attacking feathered thing & think after my own traumatic experience would be judged to be Well within my rights :cool:
Down with bantums.

* Rant over *
