Do the members get an opportunity to vote for a nomination for MofH or is it entirely the decision of Spie?

If not, Would it not be a good idea to have a least one selection chosen by the members...maybe from a shortlist.

What say the forum?

I'd like that, it would give people a feeling they have atleast some sort of say, however small..

It would be nice, and probably make more sense having the whole community join in with voting... rather than just 1 person.

Weren't half the recipients dead last year?

Anyway.

I believe it's down to the mods with Spie having an absolute casting vote.

It isn't about whether this is a democracy or who owns the forum etc....remember I am relatively new to the forum so I am not really aware of the current process. I just thought it was a reasonable idea if the members were included, at least to some degree, in that process....like I said, even if one of the nominations was chosen by the forum members themselves, even if the majority are not.

Community spirit and all that Jazz.....

Well who do you want to nominate, bar me?

Dunno, it would require some thought. The thread isn't really about who, but whether we can have some input....even if it is from a Mod/Spie prepared shortlist and we all get to vote in a poll from that shortlist.

Just an idea.

Or do you just want it because you would 'win'? :p

Why would I even be on the shortlist.......I've only been here just over a year. Besides the fact that many others have contributed far more than I, this is not about who should be, but whether we can.
