No - rumble may be part of it but I dont think its the "major" thing thats been hinted at for weeks and weeks

The idea about full downloadable movies is a great idea - the only thing that would concern me is how you would be able to back up from the PS3 once bought - I guess if you had online space where it was kept that might make sense but downloading to ps3 for high cost d/l (as a movie could be) needs some protection against hardware failure to start with.

I know there are always records of purchase etc, but even so

Fantastic idea though and I agree with you after all the hype and the general state of Sony and the competition it HAS to be something major (really hope we arent let down)

But the 360 already has downloadable films.

Theres lots of things in the pipeline from Sony (according to speculation) so maybe they will be rolling out loads of updates at once?

Playstation Home - gamertag avatar online personality thingy
Firmware update to allow downloads whilst doing other stuff - pauses during gameplay though
Playstation Store overhaul with movie and music downloads - apparantly linked into connect
LocationFree being built into PS3 - this will allow you to view content on your PS3's HDD on your PSP from anywhere in the world via the internet. Requires you to leave your PS3 running 24/7 though!

I read a while back that they were going to incorporate HD TV recording like Tivo into the PS3 during the March firmware update - I have no idea how they would do this though as there is no way to get the TV signal into the PS3???

Announcement about rumble?

I read on a different forum if I remember correctly that theres a new rumble that has more realistic reactions so maybe sony might strike a new deal with them for the new one

True but the sony conferences really sound dry and read off the page if you get my meaning.
True, but I suppose thats because J Allard always seems a little mad and unpredictable, he's quite entertaining.

I think that's a pre-requisite for anyone working for MS. They have a question on their application forms, "How mad, on a scale from 1 to 10, do you rate yourself?"

"Developers, developers, developers, developers, developers!" :D
