Just watched this again last night, forgot all about it.

On a bit of a Denzel hype at the moment, going to watch the Great Debaters later

If you haven't seen man on fire, go NOW :p

Such an amazing film.

You're right, it is a very good film and not unsurprisingly a very strong performance from Mr Washington. In fact I think it's probably about as good as he's ever been, for my money it was more deserving of an Oscar than Training Day was although that's a decent film.

Mr Washington is up there in my favourite actors list and he was great in Man On Fire.

As for Training Day I'd have to say he was every bit as good in that as in MOF.

In the trailer for training day he delivers the line

"King Kong ain't got nothing on me"

and I thought that line was great, the way he delivered it. Then I see the film and the line is

"King Kong ain't got **** on me"

and, for me, the line lost all it's potency.

Remember kids, swearing isn't always cool. Just 95% of the time.

Training Day is awesome as is Man On Fire.

With MOF I love the way its shot. So much colour and scenery. It a stunning film to view as well as a top drawer gripping thriller.

Great stuff.

Aye, i forgot almost everything except the ending, which is so deep it's 6 feet underground.

edit: American gangster is getting watched at the weekend, that is up there with the best. Russell Crowe <3

Haven't watched MOF for a while but seem to remember really enjoying my first viewing of it, DW always convinces in his roles, saw him recently in The Taking of Pelham 123 with John Travolta, both of 'em gave great performances, DW very convincing as ever.

Not seen this for a while and my Missus has never seen it so its on order from LoveFilm. I should get it today. I am looking forward to watching it again, especially on BluRay.

It is indeed an awesome film, as is Training Day.

My favourite bit in Training Day is at the start in the cafe when he gets officer Hoyt to tell him a story.

:D

It's a very good film, for me he's better in Training Day. If there was a top five then I'd add American Gangster, Glory and Malcolm X to that list.

Both Man on Fire and Taken are very good films, Taken just gets me with Liam Neeson and his threatening line down the telephone. Can't beat it :)
