2 years? Weak, they should at least log him onto CSS and have guys knife rape his character in front of him for the duration.
 
i suspect with it being a clan match the details of the match was logged on a website which could have had player profiles with some vague info of the guy and he went from there.

Good lawyer probably... either way its absolutely ridiculous. 2 years for spending 6 whole months trying to find someone, then flying/driving however far to go and stab him. Its hardly a deterant for murder is it.

This is worse I think, because the guy in the cyber cafe was hacking in front of people and generally ruining their enjoyment of the game, this guy took 6 months of his life, tracking down a guy because he got stabbed in-game to get his revenge.

The action of the cyber cafe was easily a spur of the moment type thing, not something which was dragged out plotted and executed.

Serious psychopathic behavior.

I agree but cant understand why a guy in a cyber cafe had a knife that big on him, maybe for self defense ?

I thought it was just an accusation, didn't see anything confirming he was actually hacking.
 
Jesus, how stupid must he have been, 6 months and he didn't come up with a plan. Really its the kind of murder/attempted murder you could get away with easily. Most murders have a direct connection between murderer and victim, you would have to think someone the victim killed 6 months earlier in an online game would have been so far down the list of suspects as to be ridiculous. Unless this guy was going around taunting the victim on message boards telling him he's going to find and kill him the suspect wouldn't remember he knew this guy.

Also finding it quite funny he traveled however far he traveled, and missed killing him by a single inch, stab him a few times ffs, get the job done.

Some people are truly screwed up, and how any lawyer could get him only 2 years and not for attempted murder I don't know, utter madness. He's clearly utterly psychotic and not safe to be out and about.

After a quick check it seems you're right. Some say accused some say wallhack. Who goes to internet cafe's with hacks... seriously... then again who goes to internet cafe's with 12 inch knives.
