Man tries to stop combine because it ruins his meal

I can’t believe there is a grain of truth to this story.

Not quite farm related, but our local town FB page had a post from someone asking who they had to get in touch with to remove a dead swan from it’s island in the river. It was asleep.

We really need a generational reset for everyone to get back to basics. Whilst people get better academically year on year. Common sense and understanding is devolving daily.

It is funny - I live in a rural area, on the edge of the Blackmore Vale, surrounded by farms - people who visit us go "oh it must be so quiet here"... NOPE. We knew what we were doing but we do get people moving into the area who it is a big shock for, some of whom try to make complaints about it - they don't get far.

It doesn't bother me I guess as I lived with it all my life growing up in Norfolk & Lincolnshire. Surely farm traffic isn't as bad as hearing drunks on Saturday night and Sirens at all ours living in a City or big town. Plus the smog and filth.

I use Google maps/reviews quite a lot to browse collections and deliveries and the amount of reviews you get from folk along the lines of (bought dream house but cannot stand the noise of HGV's and tractors).

Yet they live on the only access road to a massive farm and processing factory.

You always get dirty looks from residents when I go past in my lorry to get to a farm. Yet they fail to realise I could turn around and go back and they would complain the shelves are empty.

I find its sense of entitlement increases.

Police won't do anything, trespass is civil not criminal.
Trespass is not criminal, but the person in the video is committing aggravated trespass, which is a criminal offence:

A person commits the offence of aggravated trespass if he trespasses on land [F1in the open air] and, in relation to any lawful activity which persons are engaging in or are about to engage in on that or adjoining land [F2in the open air], does there anything which is intended by him to have the effect—

(a)of intimidating those persons or any of them so as to deter them or any of them from engaging in that activity,

(b)of obstructing that activity, or

(c)of disrupting that activity.
