Man Utd vs Sunderland (SPOILERS!!)

ITs always the same in these games, people hype them up for 5-6-7 nil thrashings, they never happen.

Sunderland are mostly sitting behind the ball, talking their time over everything, running the clock down although when they have come forward they have done ok untill the final third.

Its almost a carbon copy of the last time they dragged their worthless carcasses to OT.

Absolutely gutted. Haven't felt this bad after watching a match since the FA Cup final against Arsenal.

Park was absolutely amazing for us tonight, ran his legs off and came closest to putting one away for us in the first half. Ruud had some chances that he maybe could have done better with but Davis pulled off some near impossible saves. Ole looked good from when he came on, provided a lovely cross and nearly scored. I was certain his shot was going in and absolutely gutted for so many reasons to see it blocked.

Ronaldo really didn't turn up again today, and Rooney had to drop so deep most of the time that quite often he wasn't the one taking the final shot on (think the Silvestre shot). Giggs had a great first half and really looked tired in the second half, giving it away a fair bit, as did Neville in the final ten minutes.

My biggest surprise tonight (other than how well Sunderland defended) was how well Evra played. He looked pretty decent tonight, one or two mistakes but some good crunching tackles and nice touches.

In all fairness we should have been able to break Sunderland down - the run we were on and our recent form. Well played by Sunderland, excellent defending and some amazing saves. My only criticism would be Davis' time wasting but to be brutally honest that's not exactly what lost us the chance of putting the pressure on Chelsea.

I'm off to shoot myself (and watch Grumpy Old Men).

What ME personally

or are you talking about the team I support?

if it's the latter, we have a trophy in the bag and could still finish in 2nd place (though not likely) and are in the semi final of the FA cup and stayed in the CL longer than Man U as well. so I would say we have done ok and are MUCH better than last season.

I am confident I am more pleased with our season than you are with yours ;)
