Man Utd vs Sunderland (SPOILERS!!)

My biggest surprise tonight (other than how well Sunderland defended) was how well Evra played. He looked pretty decent tonight, one or two mistakes but some good crunching tackles and nice touches.
You are joking!?
I've never hearled so much abuse at the TV since Silvestre around 3 months ago, and I'd still put that Silvestre in ahead of him.

I thought he was better than he'd been before yeah. Had a couple of decent touches and didn't look as weak on the ball. Don't get me wrong, I'd still put Heinze and Silvestre above him in the pecking order, but he wasn't complete turd.

I dont think so.
Just being above liverpool even playing as woefully as we have done makes me feel all warm inside.
;)

if it's the latter, we have a trophy in the bag and could still finish in 2nd place (though not likely) and are in the semi final of the FA cup and stayed in the CL longer than Man U as well. so I would say we have done ok and are MUCH better than last season.

I am confident I am more pleased with our season than you are with yours ;)

which trophy have you won? I doubt you'll win the FA Cup although I;d rather you did than Chelski also you only stayed in the CL, what, one more round than us? Maybe 2 but there isnt any prizes for coming in 16th or 17th place, same as there isnt any for not gettin out of the group stage.

there is more chance of me catching bird flu than man u winning the league.

There's more chance of you getting bird flu than Liverpool finishing second. :p

To be honest, i don't even fancy them for second.

lol, 6 points ahead with 4 games left. Good luck with that one. ;)

I know that. atpbx was comparing our season to Man Utds and I was just drawing comparisons between the achievments of our 2 clubs this season. Dont you get more money the further you get in the CL as well. After all, that is what modern football is about these days :)

Really

I thought you would have expected to finish above us anyway being the "mighty" Man Utd and all that

Still, some people are just easy pleased :)

If you look on past results this season, Middlesbrough have the best chance of winning the FA cup ;)

1 game from 38 isn't good enough though.

It shouldn't be up to him to save a mediocre defence all the time though. Sunderland's problems have stemmed mainly from a lack of goals, not leaking too many.
