Manchester best steak?

I was leaning towards Gauchos so sounds promising :)

Thanks, prices look pretty reasonable here so might give this a go as well on one of the nights.

I have been both, i found Gauchos abit too salty, but i will still rate it better than Bem Brazil. (BB isnt too bad, more like 8 vs 7 type comparison :D)

The steak at Gaucho is miles better than Bem Brasil. BB is decent but it's a quantity over quality style place.

Still yet to make it to Grill on the Alley but I've only heard good things too.

Yeah. Bem Brasil is awesome but it's not somewhere you go specifically for steak - more for meat.

Smoak Grill has a Josper grill, makes a big difference to the flavour. I always find Gaucho's a bit pretentious. Smoak also sources their meat from a local butcher.

Both Gaucho and Grill on the Alley/New York St are great however if I had to chose again I'd go with one of the Grills on... places as if you sign up on their website you get 40% off and the food is really nice. I had the fillet last time I went and I'd say it was on par with Gaucho easily.

Gaucho is my favourite and I've been to most, although I'm yet to try James Martin, thats soon.

Went to southern11 the other week and it was ok, nothing amazing though.

The New York St. Grill....going there on the 6th December. Is membership free and is discount valid in December?

edit: I called them and it's not valid December or January and they only do 20% discount
