Off to the pub to watch the big game I think. Can see Liverpool turning up tomorrow a la the Chelsea game so should be good, Torres has a tendency to care when it's a big game.

Man U playing a mediocre, top ten side with no confidence, form and hope, top tie of the round?? Look beyond the Preniership teams please :p

I agree with this. 5 years ago it might have been the tief of the round but this weekend it will be a one sided affair. On the other hand, I'm expecting a lot of entertainment from arsenal v Leeds , southampton v blackpool and the south coast derby between pompey and Brighton. All of those have the potential to be cracking high scoring games.

hah watch the overreaction to 'King Kenny' if they do beat us.

Not sure what he'll be able to do to be honest. As of last night he was on a cruise ship somewhere in the middle east. He probably won't even see the players until a couple of hours before kick off.

The timing is pretty strange tbh, if they weren't going to sack him by Thursday at the latest then we probably should have waited until after Sunday.

A rubbish weekend thread. I wonder if a mod will change it and the original post. *wink*
Why is it rubbish?

This! And you even forgot a game from the list!!! I'll let you see if you can work out who you've missed out.

Unless you were referring to the mon and tuesday games the only one I omitted was a second round match I believe.

Also Manu - Lpool is still the tie of the round.
Even if hodgepodge was still on charge we raise our game for that match

Yeah I found the timing odd too, I felt sure that Hodgson would go on Monday, after the Utd game. Not that I am complaining mind :D
