Hi,

I'm currently looking to purchase one of these heads, but was curious to know if anyone had pros/cons for each of the different head plates, RC0, RC2, or RC4?

cheers

Ive got the 488RC4 Head on my 055 legs.
Went for that, since its got the biggest QR plate, plus multiple spirit levels.

I have exactly the same, 488RC4 on 055 legs. I believe the RC4 plates were the bigger ones, so more stable and also accomodates a heavier setup (which I didnt have at the time, but now I do have heavier lenses). I cant remember the RC0 though, it was a choice between RC2 and RC4.

Thanks for the replies!

I'm tempted to go for one with the spirit levels, and the RC4 with the bigger plate is so far looking favourite (they all appear to accomodate the same max weight - unless i'm readin the manfrotto details wrong!).

Just curious to the benefits of the hexagonal plate on the RC0, anyone?

Guess it must be down to size of the plate. When the RC4 plate is fitted to the D80, its quite large and makes using the D80 vertically quite hard.
