Mango Windows 7.5 is out

This thread is depressing! Just got back from holiday and T-Mobile still haven't released Mango for the Omnia 7... With their **** signal I will probably switch to another carrier depending on deals, although it's also Samsungs fault. Neither of Samsungs phones look especially stunning so I am very interested in Nokias releases. Never been particularly fond of Nokia phones since about 6 years ago (they always seemed cheap and poorly built) but the new ones look like they may be stunningly beautiful. :o

EDIT: I do hope they have a couple of memory sizes as well though, 16GB is nice but a choice of size up to perhaps 64GB would be very nice.

Go with the HTC Titan! :p Also, when/if you do get a new phone, make sure it's unlocked (I think all orders from Mobiles.co.uk are? That way you get the update when MS are ready, no waiting around for third parties. :)

Meh, the Titan is interesting, just the size doesn't do it for me, HTC's new designs don't really do anything either (used to have a Touch HD and almost bought an HD2, then they came out with the Desire and all the devices have that weird chin now!).

I got mine from Buymobilephones so it probably is unlocked but the forced update doesn't work!

EDIT: Apparently they are locked... oddly enough I searched for "buymobilephones unlocked" and the first result was here... a thread I posted in when I was waiting for my Desire 18 months ago... Which I cancelled after it didn't arrive in time for me going away for a month or so and as a direct result caused me to get the Omnia 7 soon after I got back...:D

Too big. I'm worried about 4-4.3" one although I won't to give one a go and see how I get on.

After spending 18 months with a 3.7" phone and then coming on to the 4" Omnia I do think 4" is prime size for a phone (best suits my big hands and just right for the pocket). The 4.3" phones I tried just seem a little too big.

Na, a 4.3" screen and WP7 is lovely combo. If the Nokia Ace is ~9mm that'll be the best Windows Phone in my book.

I used to have the Desire HD, which was 4.3" - And everyone said how big that was, and I just didn't think it was that big, which is why I'm gonna try the Titan, I think it will be nice to watch videos on. :)

I've had a play with one of those and OMG. So good, it was my first time on WP7 too and the OS is amazing. So much better than Android, Ballmer has it absolutely bang on.. I've been struggling to put my finger on why Android annoys me and it's because its basically a computer OS, it works fine for a phone but I don't think it feels like it's supposed to be a phone if that makes sense.

WP7 is really slick and this handset is so incredibly well screwed together.. I think Nokia might be back!

Been using a couple of WP7.5 handsets as my main devices for the past couple of weeks, I really can't get on with it - it is far too restricted for me. Things which should be simple like uploading a Youtube video are not simple - I just want to share a high quality video from my phone but seemingly have to jump through hoops to do it. The Marketplace is terrible as well, not many decent apps and many apps which are free on other platforms are a few quid on WP. There are loads of other annoyances like not being able to adjust individual volume on calls/ringtones and you just have one master volume, I mean what the hell?

That Nokia reminds me of a 7 year old iPod Mini as well, how long before Apple sue. ;)

There's a Microsoft event on 7th of November about WP7, 3 new phones being announced. Surly there isn't any other announcements. Seems a bit odd. Anyone got any more details?
Titan official release by any chance?

HTC Titan, Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash for at&t. Maybe something cheap from Lenovo, Dell or another PC OEM?

Tbh outside the 800 there won't anything interesting until a Nokia type 3 chassis comes along :p

For me too, hopefully the success of the 800 and MS releasing Apollo will make it viable alternative to Android/iOS.

A quick question to all you wm7 users...
How is it media wise? Camera is quick? Can I assign mp3 as ringtones?
How is it for internet? Good Facebook integration?( for my gf) how is YouTube working on it? Is there YouTube app?
Is zune like itunes for iPhone?
Can I sync contacts online like with gmail and Android? Can I easily sync gmail with it?
Exchange is not a problem is it??
