Nope, just testing Indy Lights with Carlin. Then again, there have been a few former F1 drivers in the series before...

I think they should poach Carmen Jorda, she seems very highly regarded by her peers
They got her confused with Maria de Villota, who is a better driver dead than Jorda is alive.
It'll be a pay driver, obviously, so it depends who brings money to the table. Possibly a Ferrari development driver, possibly K-Mags, and as an outside longshot Suzie Wolff.

I heard Roberto Merhi's name being thrown around during the middle of last week, did he manage to obtain his super licence then?

Not sure, but it's hardly like that's an issue... A little cheque here and there and I'm sure one could be acquired.

I think they can only afford to have the one car, maybe that's why no second driver announcement. I can't remember the rules regarding how late they can leave to say who has the second seat and whether the start of the season is different to single race driver announcements anyway...

I think they have to nominate two cars, the Russian GP had Rossi announced for it after Jules' accident but was withdrawn as a tribute to Jules.

Yes the rules stipulate they need to enter 2 cars. So they need to produce 2 chassis and put them through scrutineering. Who drives them is a different matter, but they can't simply not enter a second driver, as they would fall foul of the rule about competing to the best of their ability.

On the f1 show Graeme Lowdon stated that they are looking at a second driver but haven't made a decision yet. Doesn't have to be a pay driver either...

Despite being signed up for Formula Renault 3.5 again, Roberto Merhi is still strongly linked for the second Manor seat.

So Caterham crowd fund a holiday to Abu Dhabi for the administrators and become universally disliked by the whole F1 fan base, while Marussia go back to base, keep quiet, sort themselves out, and become fan favourates.
Its going to be a struggle for them to complete a lap, but when they do I hope the crowd congratulate them. They have a desire to race for the love of racing that a lot of teams on the grid have lost.
