cheers Petey, not sure what else i can do done a driver sweep and clean and been on the AMD forums its all a bit odd.
 
Ok, it looks like you have the same or a very similar issue to the one I had when I upgraded to Win 8.1.

Disabling driver certification solved it. There may have been a couple of small other things that helped too, but I can't remember right now.
Try following the instructions that Matt linked and we'll go from there.

Or perhaps Matt is right and it's something to do with driver sweeper buggering things up...

1. Wrong, that's like saying we don't need dx12 because we never used it. Or dx11 was pointless etc
2. This I would agree with, pointless buying a new gpu based on just mantle at this point in time. Unless bf4 and thief were your main games of choice. BF4 was made for Mantle and till you tried it say no more on the matter.
3. Fixed for most so I believe.

I'd try my suggestion about the certificate i linked before you do anything. If the driver certificate has been blocked by Windows, it won't install no matter what you do.
