Many Graphics Price drops at OcUK !!!

I really don't see what the problem is here.

The prices are up and you just add the VAT.

Whats the big deal?

You want Gibbo to spoon feed you?

Lmao

Just work it out! :D

Erm... he states his prices without VAT so you go rushing to the shop site to check em out, i can't see why thats so hard to figure out personally, getting ppl to go to the product pages gets ppl buying etc....

If he puts prices in here with the VAT added on, then no one would view the product pages they would just stay on the forums, and thats not getting sales is it. ;)

As said above whats the big deal, you don't need to work out the price with VAT as you go straight to the product page where its all done for you, and as i said thats what they want isnt it, it gets ppl to view the products, gets them sales which is what matters at the end of the day ££££££££. :)

Fair enough they dont look that cheap when you see the full price with the VAT, but it got you to the product page, and then you may start browsing other sections, and having a look around, and could see something else you want. ;)

HI there

I using excluding VAT prices which I clearly indicate due to most of the computing Etailors in the UK doing the same.

I am a busy man and it takes time for me to put in the including VAT prices wheras as you have all said it quite simple to just work it our for youselves or visit the website. :)

Also the fact remains whether including or excluding VAT our prices on the whole are better than the competition across the range and OcUK has stock. Plus OcUK has many unique products which others do not have like the HIS X1900 Crossfire cards and the Galaxy 7300 GT GDDR3 cards. :)

Oh yeah forgot about that, is it the full x1900 range that has been pulled as im sure you said the x1900 XT was still going to be going, and only the XTX was getting stopped, or the other way around i forget, but either way if one of them is still going to be going then it would make sense to keep the master card going as well, otherwise its like they are saying we are stopping Xfire for the x1900's, meaning its not doing well or something, or did you mean that one of them is still going up until the x1950 is launched then all x1900's cease.

Hi there

It looks like all production is ending but certain SKU's such as X1900 XT 512MB is in ample supply at the partners, they have large inventry which they will sell worldwide over the next couple of months. However due to Crossfire sales never been so good supply of those products is not so good and now demand has picked up a lot due to much better pricing.

You have to realise the idea of these price drops is so ATI can clear out inventry for new lines in upcoming months.

X1950 Crossfire will replace the X1900 Crossfire, unfortunately it won't be as cheap as the X1900 Crossfire is now but maybe with time.....

Thanks for clearing that up Gibbo. :)

I think ATi really shot themselves in the foot with the master card, if you want Xfire for the high end cards then you need a dearer master card, they should scrap high end Xfire as thats what puts lots of ppl off having to buy a dearer card thats a master, where as if they could pair 2x normal ones together then it would be selling in droves, i mean 2x x1900's for £200 each they would be flying out the doors, but being limited to needing to be a master, and it being dearer, its killing it, and its no good Xfire just on the low end cards as that wont be selling well either, as everyone will just buy a single high end card like the x1900 XT etc...

If they can't figure a way to get high end Xfire working with 2x normal cards, and the scrapping of the master they should just drop high end Xfire alltogether as no one wants it if you have to buy a specific card thats dearer to be able to go Xfire, everyone wants to be able to do it like the SLi way, 2x normal cards that cost the same price.

I hear countless ppl saying if i could just pair 2x normal cards together then id do it and go Xfire, but you can't. :(

I prefer bang for buck, regardless of who's name is written on it. :p I wouldn't care if it had Aldi written on it if it gave X1900XT/7900GTX performance for less money. :D
Yes but I think nvidias AA looks better than atis and I prefer their image quality. This is just a temporary plug till the r600 and g80 show up.

Awesome prices there Gibbo. And with that sentance you have stopped me buying a X1900 mastercard lol :D. Was tempted as i have a Dell 2405 but if the next gen R600 cards have got that I will wait and see how they fair.

Ahh cheers Gibbo, i must have been under a rock when you said that. :p

Now thats more like it, a much better proposition now as you don't need profiles etc.. like SLi as Xfire works with everything, im interested now. :D

Me too, was considering going X1950 but I might sod it and wait for R600 now and go crossfire with it at the end of next year.

Well ATI are getting there. You can now get X1900 Crossfire from OcUK for £219.95 +VAT which is very good price. Add to this an X1900 XT for £175+VAT and then you have a Crossfire setup for sub £400+VAT that can kill Quad SLi and works with all games. :)

Or go quieter option with HIS cards, will cost a bit more but is still doable for £500Inc. VAT and again is very good solution and now affordable.

Quad SLi cost over £750Inc. VAT and is unstable and not as quick as Crossfire X1900's overall. :)

The RD600 the bridge will be internal so no more Master cards so Crossfire solutions even cheaper and less fiddly, ATI onto a winner. Can't wait to see the RD600 and new G80 chips in action. I know RD600 will be very fast DX9c card and also support DX10. However G80 is unknown, its DX9c performance may not be so good and DX10 games still 12-18 months away......

Well, you'll need a new motherboard too so it's not like you'll be saving any money if you're going to wait for RD600 and a non-Master Crossfire setup.

ATI have surprised themselfs sale wise. They drop X1900 price to clear stock, not to increase sales, but now they win market share from NVIDIA big time and as such is probably why X1950 launch is delayed until September 14th to allow them to get a few more X1900 sales in. I am not to complain as X1900 is now flying better than when it originally launched, great sales and these prices are bargains as X1950 will cost a lot more.

Tomorrow I will have amazing X1900 XTX deal for you. :) :D
