Is there any maps on the internet liek www.local.google.co.uk but for walkin? cus those directions i need r for cars I assume.

Without paying for something like Memory Map/Anquet I think http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/getamap/ is about as good as it gets.
