I thought Mario Sunshine was good, didnt buy it though their were more surpassing games out at the time ;D, but i have ordered this and giving it to my dad so i can play it over christmas, otherwise im going to have nothing but sock, films and chocie :<

I picked mine up today from my local Supermarket. Have one coming from mail order as well but think I'll just give that one to my brother for Xmas.

Had a blast for about 40mins. Initial impressions are that this is the game I have been waiting for since I finished Mario 64. I'm astounded by the graphics. They appear to have got the camera work spot on. I just cannot wait till I finish work to play it.

I feel this is going to be my game of the last 5 years let alone this year.

It's now a confirmed Christmas present for me, having bought Metroid Prime 3 last night. Looks absolutely brilliant. Watched the Gamer.tv review which really impressed me.

Wow, after an hour of play i'm even more convinced. If you have a Wii and you haven't ordered / bought this, then you're some sort of mentalist

Meh since the mario games went 3d they lost their appeal for me, ive tried 64 and sunshine and to me there was just a massive element missing that made them mario games. What it was i don't know but imo 3d doesn't suit mario games at all.

Trouble is, people have such a love for old mario games, that they are destined to dislike it in 3d...

If mario 64 wasnt mario, but actually a different character, like say Crash bandicoot (when he first came out) then a lot more people would appreciate the brilliance

Thats the thing though, you could have just put another character into that game and no one woulda been any the wiser. Just didnt seem like a mario game.

Why so few replies? Have people just not received this in the post yet? :confused:

It's the biggest Wii release ever, and right up there with the biggest releases of the year on any format. The no. of responses so far make it look like a Virtual Console release.
