How do you eat yours? (marmite not cream eggs)

I love marmite on toast with cheese, or in a sandwich with cheese, of course there are many variants possible with this such as the cucumber, marmite and cheese sarnie, the marmite, cheese and crisp (salt & vinigar) sarnie, the marmite, cheese and ham sarnie.
Or the cheese, marmite, ham, crisp, cucumber and tomato sandwhich which to my mind is pretty much the ultimate marmite sandwich.

There are even alternative to bread (or bread like products) that can be used as a base for these sandwiches, you just have to be creative.

One such example is the liquerice (or fruit) allsorts with marmite "butter" and cheese, a recipe I highly recommend everyone try once, but it doesn't stop there, as you can also try other sweets such as those foam sugar shrimps/bannanas (the taste is lovely).
I will however strongly recommend against trying to use haribo tangy sweets as a base for the snack, as they give it an odd taste.
For the record, I was not drunk at the time I tried these.

So what is your favourite marmite related snack?

I tend to incinerate the marmite first with a flamethrower and then toss it in the bin, after that I look for something GOOD in the kitchen and make something with that.

Buttered thickly over bread, toasted or not, with a fair portion of proper butter underneath.

If you don't like it, you're a big girly man. If you're french it's understandable :p

I keep as far from it as humanly possible! It's the one british thing I'll never get.. spreading yeast on your bread... :p

Actually fresh yeast spread on hot buttered toast is delightful. :D

As for Marmite itself, my favourite is probably on toast as well although Marmite and banana sandwiches deserves an honourable mention.

I love it with cheese or peanut butter in a sandwich, but you can't beat it on a thick slice of toast, a fair spreading of butter and a thick spread of marmite on top, not very healthy though, but luvverly. :D

Marmite - one of the best defences against midges and bugs when on holiday. I eat Marmite and don't get touched. My girlfriend hates it and gets eaten alive :o

Finally, one of the great ways to eat it:

Slice malt loaf (Soreen is the best)
Toast
Butter
Spread with Marmite

Heaven :D

Can someone answer me a quick question. Is Marmite the same as Vegemite? The latter being a tasty yeast extract found around aus/new zealand and the pacific isles. Always wandered about that.

I love vegemite thickly spread on toast :)
