These have just landed along with the odd sample for us to have a play with and all I can say is Wow! I am absolutely blown by the clarity and depth that the headphones provide, The Majors are simply sublime!

I myself have a set of Sennheiser PXC 450s that cost me around £240 odd about 6 months ago and are still sat at this price. The Majors are so so close to the sound quality produced by the 450s with mid tones and the higher notes hitting a near perfect match that they are barely any different. The only draw back I can see is that the base although warm and reasonably deep feels a little more punchy rather than the more rounded sound from the 450s. As for comfort, the Majors sit very nicely on the head isolating all background noise and not suffering in the slightest from the hustling noise sometimes associated with noise cancelling headphones when the cables rub on clothing. Another major bonus is how light they are! You can barely feel them on your head making them an absolute pleasure to use.

At just short of £90 I honestly cannot recommend these enough so if your in the market for some nice light weight high quality cans then I suggest that the Marshall Majors are certainly looked in to. :)

Hi there

Just had a listen to these and the sound is very natural and the quality simply sublime. They are also so lightweight, can't feel them on my head. So for music they are superb, can't comment on gaming though. :)

Sound brilliant, though forgive me if I assume you two to be a little biased considering you have a pile of them to sell. That said, I believe you on the most part! I'd love to give them a try, look like they're presented very nicely too.

Wifey`s bought me a pair of the Major`s.I`ve tried them alongside a pair of Beyer DT250`s that i use regularly.I have to agree with pretty much everything Andy has said.I use the Beyer`s for Monitoring, through a Line 6 HD500,and being a Guitarist,i`m Tone obsessed. To be fair,i think the Beyer`s have the edge, but not by much. The Marshalls are worth considering for sure.

Beyer DT250s are an excellent headset for sure so its certainly nice to know that the Marshalls are a worthy alternative. The Beyer DT100 and DT770s also have to watch out too.

Going to purchase a set myself I think :)

dont be fooled by the minors, they are just re-badges urbanears. along the lines of skullcandy. Which makes sense, given that Zounds, the company that manufactures the majors and the minors, also manufacture for both urbanears AND skullcandy.

I doubt they (the majors and minors) are as good as people are making out in this thread, but i'll ignore those reviews until i hear some myself.

I wouldn`t be without the Beyer`s Andy.I used to use a set of Shure SRH840`s,but the Beyer`s just floor them.:D

@ James, i assue you,if the Marshalls were crap i`d say so :).But as you say,try them, everyone`s ears are different.

they look very interesting, like the packaging sort of old school looking with the colour of the boxes etc

I popped into OcUK last friday to talk to them about the P67 launch and I could resist buying a set of the Minors. My Sennheisers are now consigned to my top drawer and my goldrings have gone back to where I bought them from, along with the ones that I bought for the missus (both developed a fault within a month).

I admit that, being a guitarist, the gimmick factor hooked me but the audio quality is really good for a set of this sort of price and the build quality put my other sets to shame.

I'm interested in both the majors and minors..

Looking for a new set for my iPod/ phone for training etc...

As for the majors they would be for laid back listening..

I'm looking to replace my sanns cx300s and sanns hd205 why I asked.

Believe these maybe what I'm looking for inexpensive(ish) solution
