*** Marvel Studios' Black Widow ***

Really this movie should have been done five or six years ago, although, of course rewritten. Once she was introduced in IM 2 she should have also had an origin movie, tied in to the winter soldier movie in some way, or perhaps after CA:TWS movie with some sort of lead in or cameo into another movie. I feel this was a filler, empty gesture type movie from Marvel with no peril as we all know she survives. I haven’t seen it yet mind you, I just get the impression FOM reviews and comments here and elsewhere, like Disney finding a release window to fill.

She actually dies at the end of the movie

I liked the first half of the movie as it felt like Jason Bourne meets the terminator. It was when it got to the prison scene when it all started to go way over the top.

Was ok, put it one above black panther bottom of the list for me) mum was quite frankly heaps and bounds above everyone else.

Watched this earlier on today. It was alright, Nothing special. Infact this movie should have been released few years ago.

End credit was interesting.

Not great but not terrible. By the end I was bored. As we know what happens the origins story should have been done earlier. Not sure how the post credits scene ties in to future moves unless it's ties in to a TV series "Barton and the Black Widow's little sister" perhaps? ;)

Average.

Needed to be out around Civil War with a different after credits clip.

Just felt really out of place (which of course it is) likely made worse by it's delayed release pushing it out past all the latest MCU teaser stuff.

I actually like the character and feel she deserved better than this, never mind.

But also meant nothing to anyone who hadn't seen FatWS, although I'm sure they got the idea.

Does that mean she might turn up in the Hawkeye series, potentially as the villain? Who is then turned by Clint's boyish good looks and charm? Also Ray Winston was an awful, awful choice. The guy can't change his accent for anyone, even if he tries.

Agreed that Ray Winston is a bad casting choice. The guy is the same in every role he plays!

Still I quite enjoyed it, and i forgot who said it earlier, the first 2/3rd is definitely better, it became a lot of noise towards the end.

Watched last night, did enjoy it, felt like Florence Pugh was channeling Villanelle off Killing Eve at times, she did raise a few smiles but she's rarely bad in anything.

David Harbour was great, hammed it up but entertaining and great in all his scenes.

As Raymond said, all CGI noise towards the end and you knew there was no risk for SJ because of Endgame. Overall, not a great movie, not a terrible one, just poor timing.

End credits scene meant nothing to me, as someone else said above, I assume it's a FatWS reference. I got to episode 2 and gave up, DC's Arrow (later seasons) levels of bad.

It wasn't bad but certainly not the best send off they could have done, this should have been dropped before Infinity war. Florence Pugh was a highlight and stood out compared to the rest of the cast.

So does this mean Pugh will be the new Black Widow and might even appear in the Hawkeye series?

Pretty much certain that she will feature in Hawkeye, given the Countess is busy setting up what looks like her version of the 'Dark Avengers'.

I have avoided all click bait or reviews on the film and watched it last night and semi enjoyed it but its poor.

In sort. Sar-jo deserved better. It's pretty clear the writing at Marvel has gone down hill.

David Harbour was pretty much wasted and just the comic relief and the butt of everyone jokes.

They also ruined Taskmaster. Made him into a mindless drone.

Winston was awful. How many times did his accent break.

A lot of the action scenes were to OTT.

Seems they were aiming for Winter Soldier and got some sort of Antman/WS hybrid.

You sure about that :D

It was the most obvious "OMG It's a twist" and the body-type of the stuntman who was Taskmaster for 85% of their screentime so very clearly didn't even come close to matching the actor during the reveal that I actually found it funny at how bad it was.
