Yes via BT.Probably worth getting a controller for this. Can I use my PS5 controller on PC?
It needs to run wired for Dual sense features if the game supports it.

You just did![]()
Has anyone actually been brave enough to play it yet?
Negative.
Currently got the following installed that I need to get through:
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Silent Hill 2
STALKER 2
God of War Ragnarok
Ratchet & Clank
Also got Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 on preorder and once that is out I think most my timevwill go to that and FF7R.
Got other games installed too like flight simulator and fighting games, plus a bunch more games I need to install and play.
Therefore I think I think won't be playing this until probably closer to end of the year.
Thats a big list!
It was your mention of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in another thread that made me aware of it.
It has good reviews but I am still not sure if it is my type of game.
Last FF I played would have been around 95-98.
Is it good?
Rebirth is excellent. Should play remake integrade first though as rebirth is a straight sequel.Thats a big list!

Our testing shows that Spider-Man 2 does need quite a lot of VRAM, especially when you dial up the settings an enable things like RT and frame generation. Also, especially on cards with 8 GB VRAM, you'll be maxing that out even at fairy low settings. Interestingly, and we've seen this in other games, AMD cards with 8 GB VRAM take a pretty big performance hit, while their NVIDIA counterparts are not affected as much. This is probably due to the GPU architectures managing their memory differently.
Yup once tweaking the settings a bit, it runs well enough surprisingly (before the patch, it was crashing non stop but that is fixed with the patch now), however, will be holding of until the 5080 fe arrives (especially since the game is heavily cpu bound so will need MFG to get the best from the 240hz screen) as well as a few patches and like others, got too many other games to finish of first. I suspect we'll see a turn around for overall performance as has happened with a few sony games now, notably the last of us especially on vram optimisation:

Spider-Man 2 Performance Benchmark Review - 35 GPUs Tested
Spider-Man 2 has arrived for the PC Platform. Sony's newest port offers fantastic super hero gameplay, but is plagued by instability issues and crashes. Once you get it to run stable, performance is pretty decent though, and all the major technologies are supported. In our performance review...www.techpowerup.com
At least you say it runs now and doesn't crash every 5 mins.
Runs pretty well for me with a 4080, over 55 mosrtly, all maxed settings 4k with DLSS Quality.
No crashing?
Runs superb here, 3440x1440, everything maxed, 100Hz (monitor limit), 4090.12700K, GPU/CPU not stressed at all.
Nope.
Hope not for the sake of those who want to play it. It surprises me that Nixxes have made a botch of this port as they have done a good job with most of the other Sony IPs. As for me, I'm not in a rush to replay this game as I think it's the weakest of the Spider-man games - I can wait.It took Nixxes 2 years to fix the first one so this'll likely be the same.
