Mashed Potato- legendary food

I use butter, milk, black cracked pepper and one of the following depending on my mood (or whats in the fridge).

Avocado (chop up one ripe avocado and mash it in, was bored one day and had an avocado, thought the creamyness would be nice and it was ace).

Corriander! Just get some fresh stuff and mash it in.

I Love mash.
 
I mash over a gentle heat, and then add:

Warm Milk
Two Eggs
Plenty of Clover Button
Pinch of Salt
Loads of Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Liberal grating of nut meg.

Sometime with red leceister grated in, without nut meg.
 
cheesy mash is great

well I boil 20-25 mins I add the potatoes in to boiling water
until you can run blunt knife through them
then add a blob of butter salt and a tonne of pepper white is better than black actually
then i mash it a bit then add a dash of milk and keep mashing til lumps gone

you should try carrot and swede mash laced with a tonne of white pepper it's superb

Back then when I was working at this pub, they made great mashed potatos by just adding

double cream, butter, salt, fresh ground black pepper

simple and effective
