Right..

It's got to the point where I'm drowing in CDs and CDRs with hundreds of the things strewn across my 'office'.

Displaying them in racks is just not practical anymore. Does anyone know of any better storage solutions?

Any reason why you can't rip them to an ISO image? When you need to access that image/CD, just mount it to a virtual CD/DVD drive such as Alcohol 120%.

I suggest the afore-linked-to device; if I had many CDs I would get one. :p

Could you try one of the cases OcUK sell?

Not a bad idea, but I want to keep everything inside the jewel cases, not just put the CDs in sleeves.

It's getting the to the point where I'm thinking of putting them in boxes ...

The CD stacker is good, but quite expensive for what is essentially a box. A nice box but I don't think I could hand over nearly £100 for a glorified CD rack.

I'm guessing some of them may be documents/files rather than just music

Most are CDs and CDRs - about 90%. I'm thinking of just getting some clear plastic boxes... it would be less hassle than anything else.
