MASS EFFECT 2 ISSUE (possible Graphics driver issue)

Hey

Ok ive exhausted every option im sure with my performance issues on mass effect 2. Every other game runs fine apart from this such as crysis,black ops, just cause 2 etc. It even stutters on the loading screen then pretty much lag spikes every few seconds during game. so far I have tried....

Updated drivers for graphics card
Updated Audio drivers
Updated Bios
changed ram speed and cpu speed to defaults
ran memory diagnostics (all good)
set affinity to 2-4 cores and on high/real time priority
changed settings for core parking
disabled speed step and turbo
tried different graphics cards

Its still the same. Now for the really weird part, It only runs well straight after new graphics card drivers have been installed, after a restart its back to square one. So does anybody have a idea?

Try disabling anti-aliasing.

Forced AA definitely cuts performance. For me, I get about 60~fps (NoAA) to 25~fps (8xMSAA) . No jaggies but frame rate not as smooth.

If retail, patch the game to latest patch.

Ahh the old ccc causing issues again I see. No issues here, I dont use the ccc.

It's the steam version, download twice as I formatted my system also verified the cache and fragmented the file, Nah disable ccc features and still same

If it happens after restart could it be windows reinstalling older driver at start?, I know it's obvious but you did fully uninstall ALL old drivers Ati and Nvidia?

Sounds as though driver issues going on here too!

Some of the solutions sound drastic though(someone suggests reinstall of O.S.?!!).Hope you get it sorted.

Hey, I pretty much done everything. Even reinstall of windows

Looks such a good game aswell.

Yes I m sorry to tell you i started playing a bit ago, and its awesome!

Do you use anything like a soundcard- a mate had something like this once and for some very crazy reason it was down to the soundcard using a random port/address or something.
