Mass Effect 2 scanning question.

When scanning planets for materials in Mass Effect 2, do the bars at the bottom right of the screen represent how many more materials can be extracted from the planet or does it represent how much of each material you can carry at once?

When scanning, does the scan result 'depleted' mean there aren't any more materials left to extract from the planet?

Top left is what the planets got left.

And if I remember correctly the bottom is what you have.

Those bars represent how close you are to an upgrade you can afford which uses that mineral. When a bar becomes full, the game should tell you that an upgrade is available to buy.

When it says depleted it's 99% empty. You can keep mining but it'd be a waste of probes and you'd only get tiny trace amounts.
