I've always admired this game. Sadly, I've never had the opportunity to play it (I own a PS3).

A while back I read that this was coming to the PS3 in 2011!

Just want to know what you think of the first two games (Yes, I know only part 2 will be released on the PS3).

Good Points
Bad Points
and whether it's worth purchasing.

I love RPG..... Will I love this?

YES!

The first game has a better story, the second game has better game mechanics. Both are excellent though and well worth playing (perhaps your PC could play the first one?).

It's not a traditional RPG though. If you're used to certain conventions then you may be disappointed.

Ive been looking at this game since the first one was released. Like you said, it isnt your tradition RPG. I like this... It reminds me of a prettier version of fallout!

It plays nothing like Fallout though. They may be RPGs but they're very different in terms of gameplay mechanics. They're both exceptional games but they're not very similar I think, except they're both RPGs.

Was talking about the way in which one can converse with others.

I'm in the same sort of boat as the OP.. Except that I have a decent PC and I've also got a 360.. I saw it yesterday MassEffect 2 for $15 on the 360 and $20 on the PC.. I was wondering which one should I get ? PC spec is decent enough. I know NOTHING about the game except that its supposed to be good and it falls along the line of an RPG, which isn't my bag normally, though one of the best games I've ever got into was Deus Ex.

I'd reccommend getting it for the PC if you can, I bought it for the 360 when i got mine, but quit about half way through because of the framerate. I play with motion blur off, as i can't stand the effect, so that may have made it more noticable.

Got it on the PC and completed it on that, along with the second when it came out.

I've got both on both platforms but I'm still picking it up on PS3. It's such a fantastic game. I'm very interested to see how they do the first game as this 'interactive comic'.

I loved Mass Effect 1 to bits, I'm now about 75% of the way through my first ME2 playthrough, and it's great. The majority of things they have changed are much better, the resource mining is a bit of a ball ache, but is more satisfying than the Mako grind in ME1. I like the fact that ps3 owners get to make their ME1 choices through A comic. Can't wait for mass effect 3 now!

Hmm, it's a shame you couldn't sell mineral resources for spare credits. I had tonnes of mining resources but bugger all credits to buy the upgrades at the stores. :(
