Mass Effect

Looks awesome and I'll definitely be getting it, even though it's not really my usual type of game. I didn't really get into KOTOR which it's pretty similar to.
 
this is on my list as well as so many other games. Plus with games like res evil 5 out next year Microsoft is spoiling us so much.

Just watched the E3 stuff on xbl and have to say the stuff coming out is simply awesome. I am glad this got delayed as if they had rushed it it would have spoilt a potnetially awesome game.
 
I think IGN said something along the lines of "could this be the deepest ever single player experience on the 360? Yes. Yes it could"

Definately a must buy for Kotor fans anyway.
 
I couldn't believe Fallout 3 beat it to best rpg at E3, i mean dont get me wrong im sure fallout 3 will be better in the end but its aaaaages off, and i dont think we've even seen any gameplay footage yet have we?

Theres a trailer on the marketplace but I havent watched it. Bit surprised at that though, at least we get mass effect this november.

yeah it wasn't ingame, good trailer though. I do love how all the previews keep saying its like oblivion in a world after a nuclear war, like the fallout series has never existed before now :rolleyes:

Are you sure its not ingame? I've just watched it, and it looks pretty ingame to me. and going by a lot of other games i've seen where the trailer was in game, it's not too much of a stretch.

And i agree with the oblivion comment, I played the old Fallouts and they are fantastic, which means i cant wait for the new one.

Alongside Hallo3, Bioshock, and GTA4 Mass Effect will be one of the biggest titles of the year. I just hope the game is 'large' enough, with enough gameplay because its using the U3 engine as we know.

There'll be loads of ingame cutscenes taking up space, then we've got the voice over data - I just hope there's space for a good amount of gameplay too.

Yeah I've just seen that directors cut video (link below for anyone that fancies a look) and it's completely stunning, like way better than the previous videos. I didn't realize how real-time the game was in combat, unlike KOTOR. Although you can pause it as I understand to issue commands to your squadmates, control of your main character is very much realtime and you aim yourself, and you also control vehicles in realtime too.

Looking forward to this a whole lot more after seeing how combat works. If it's half as good as it looks it deserves to outsell Oblivion. Sadly I doubt that will happen though, the small number of posts in this thread alone suggests to me a lack of interest/understanding from the masses and it'll probably be a niche game.
