Mass Effect

Fortunately there are higher difficulties but tbh with my current tactics i doubt it'll be too much of a challenge (Me as a beefy soldier, liara and tali, perfect combo).

I only hope the sequel makes it to the PC a little faster this time...

You will :D I have it on insane, and I'd say I've pretty much mastered the strategy, It's the Krogans that get me, Most the other things i'm fine with, but when on insane, The krogan become pretty smart, with their biotic use, healing and heavy weapons. Geth arent just worth my time though, easy kills. Swapping ammo types is a must though

I've restarted this again, found out you can start a new career with the same character, it carries all your gear over and your level as well.

It's awesome the second time round as you feel like you can do a lot more.

Just noticed the new book is out, the first one gave some pretty good back story, this one should be a pretty good bridge to the next game.

Think I'll finally go and get one (or all) of my characters to level 60 :)

Finally got round to playing this properly. Just finished after three days non-stop. AMAZING. Easily now one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Seriously cannot wait for ME2 to arrive.

I was a pure soldier so now am going to play again as I want to have a go at the biotic powers.

I stuck to Soldier to give decent weapon variety and used Liara for biotics and Tali for tech.

I did exactly the same thing after giving up on my biotics char the first time through. Made the game so much more fun just cutting out the sequence of stop. choose ability. select target. use ability. repeat.

I think that's one of the differences with the PC version - you can use the function keys as hot keys to map your biotics so you don't have to pause the game. Just aim with the mouse and press a key to use a power.
