Never played Mass Effect 1 or 2, however I downloaded the Mass Effect 2 demo earlier and I enjoyed it. Are they both worth picking up?

Got Mass Effect 1 today. I have a shotgun and an assault rifle which are "untrained" they are basically useless. How do I sort that out?

As you level up, you can assign points to those skills. To use shotgun and assault rifle most effectively, I think you have to be the soldier class. Each class has a fixed ability section so if shotgun is not available to be upgraded, you're the wrong class to use it.

Ok Cheers. When I use my sniper scope it's very juddery. Can you hold your breath or do you have to upgrade your snipers skills?

Also, the 'bring down the sky' DLC has recently dropped from 400MP down to 80MP!

I got the bring down the sky DLC and a load of other bonus content in my classics version

I am stuck on the boss at the end of the first level. It's virtually impossible.

No, Matriarch Benezia. She sends waves of those commandos at you.. I can get past the first wave but the second one always gets me.

I have got to the second stage of this fight, after she has a conversation with you. I am lucky If I survive 10 seconds, there is no cover and I can't kill her quickly enough before her commandos arive..

I am at the second part of the fight. After you have a long conversation with her. She then chases me whereever I go. I cannot kill her and the commandos at the same time. It is impossible :mad:

I did but have now lowered the difficulty to casual. Could it be because I am an infiltrator?

How? I have got Benezia and 3-4 commandos on top of me in 10 seconds. It's very hard.

If I ignore the commandos they just rip me to pieces from behind :mad:

It doesnt help the fact that I only have a sniper and pistol, I should'nt have chosen this class.

The title of the thread made me (and most likely other people who haven't played this before) want to read because I had just bought the two games and wanted to see people opinions, I didn't expect to read spoilers.

So you can rolleyes all you want, if there's spoilers there should be a spoiler alert. It's common courtesy, man, but instead of just being apologetic and spoiler alerting your first post you just act like an ass.

It might be a reload job then. The sniper will be somewhat useless for you. Wrex and Ashley should be able to do a good job with the commandos though. Try to activate all their special powers from the menu and tell them to fire at Benezia?

All my saves are from this level

I'll just have to keep trying. I can see this taking hours
