Mass filename editor ?

Mainly for mp3's but also other things, text files etc

ie i want it to remove numbers at the front of a file, make the first letter of a filename upper case in every word etc etc

also any of these that totally remove id3 tags for mp3s will it be a separate program ?

Anyone use anything like that (and recommend me?), i dont mind paying license fee etc or freeware

I used to have one... was called file commander or total commander, something along those lines. Was a really useful program, could remove all the underscores etc from all my mp3s and replace them with spaces in about 1min

a good naming/sorting/id3 thing for music is musicbrainz.

For many years I've done all my file management with a program called Directory Opus. It is the one program I would miss.
Many years ago it was called Norton Navigator.

Cheers for that. just what im looking for except doesnt remove id3v2 oh well cant have everything .
