Also remember all cards have FREE NEXT DAY Shipping on the entire basket to UK mainland destinations and all qualifying cards come with NVIDIA BE THE HERO game promotion. Excellent value! :)

Some of the cards have additional support based on our inventory, this means those prices will go up when we have sold that allocation as re-buy is still higher due to the way the support works from NVIDIA and the board partner, so if it looks good, don't hang around as stock is pretty limited.

percentage wise the 1080 dropped 20% from $599 to $499

Why is that percentage not reflected in the prices here ?

I am seeing cards with upto 22% discount. :)

Discount is only on inventory, new buy in is not as heavily discounted so stock lines which are low are based on new buy-in. :)

Lets forget this absolute gem of a card as well which is £50 cheaper than our competitors. :)

1 card ... Majority is 6 or 7 up to 16 17%

Point is NVIDIA dropped the 1080 price by 20% ... and its not reflecting the pricing here

Saying new buy is not as heavily discounted is making even less sense ..unless that 20% is factored in

NVIDIA prices are here:
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/buy/graphics-cards/geforce/

OcUK is vastly cheaper!
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-components/graphics-cards/nvidia/geforce-gtx-1080?sPage=1&sSort=3

Also the discount is worked out from our previous price, on some lines, Zotac 1080 AMP being an example OcUK was £569.99 previously, whereas competitors were £620, OcUK is now £530 on this item whereas competitors are £570 !

WE ARE CHEAPER! But if our market price was below the market already because we were operating a loss leader, then of course the discount will not be as big, also NVIDIA 20% discount is just FE cards and this is an area we are not interested in, AIC cards have less than 20% discount.

End of the day OcUK is cheapest on the SKU's we list or at the right price point and right now OcUK is £60 cheaper than NVIDIA on 1080 FE and £40 cheaper on 1070 FE. :)

This is what these card should have originally been priced at launch, I think many will agree XD
Still, Asus and MSI remaining stingy and keeping the prices of their best GPUs high. More of a downer for MSI, since the MSI Gaming cards used to be the best bang for buck with the 900 series (and still kinda are with the RX 400 series). I know someone who jumped on one of the RX 480 deals the other day, now those are still bang-for-buck at its finest.

As tempting as some of these may be, I'm not tempted by small fry. I'm going for the catch-of-the-day: Vega or an aftermarket 1080ti. Preferably Vega, but if 1080ti beats it and does the magic 4k60, then it'll have to do instead.

Regardless, thanks for these lovely offers, I'm sure many others will appreciate these juicy deals.

Asus I think nailed it, that £50 cashback brings the Strix Advance Gaming 1080 down to £530 delivered, that is pretty sharp!
G1 is £539.99 delivered too!
But yes MSI very stingy, really giving us so little support on their card, but it flies out so I guess that is why.

They were, pretty much, then the pound tanked.

You could get a 1080 for £525 at launch and even a G1 for £560.

I don't remember that being the case. Founder's Editions were £620 and a few plucky cards like an EVGA and the infamous clown card fell below the £600 mark. The big thing was people were upset that the Founder's Edition extra cost just upped the prices of the whole lot. All I remember was a lot of complaining in the GPU section about 1000 series prices, espeially the 1070 being over £400. The way I saw it, the prices didn't fluctuate as much since then, probably because they were already so high to begin with.

When 1080 went up for pre-order it was pre-brexit, so some cards like Clown 1080 were pre-order at 524.99 and some of the cards like G1 and EVGA were 550-600 again pre-order. The lucky few who pre-ordered early got prices honoured and then Brexit came where the Pound went from 1.50 area against USD down to 1.30 area. The result was by the time 1080 was in stock the prices had rocketed to 600 and above.

Still 1080 is now from 490.00 even with the weak pound so all in all its pretty good and just checking the sales five minutes ago they are absolutely flying off the shelf, under £500 is really the sweet spot for 1080. :)

P.S. Yes Founders has always being £619.99 on NVIDIA, these are now £559.99 at OcUK! :D

I may just have to pick up a second amp extreme 1080... Is it worth it?

If you think you need the extra oooomph and the game titles your running support SLI than yes, but I mean is there anything that the Zotac 1080 Extreme can't run? They are like the most powerful 1080 on the market!
