What sort of diffrence could i be expecting if i plugged my router into master socket im gettin 2.5mb rougly with bt, heres line stats i got router in room probz about 10metres long cable, possibly more.

If you have a good quality extension lead then there might be no difference in speed. If it's poor you might get good speed increase.

Mine went from 2.2mb to 6.5mb when connecting it directly.
 
It's many km between you and the exchange. A 10 metre cable isn't going to make the slightest difference.

The master socket usually only makes a difference as it cuts out any badly wired internal extension wiring when you remove the faceplate.
