Anyone get an email today about Bonus Accumulator?

I haven't done any matched betting in about 18 months and I never got in to Casino offers at all. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with casino offers which is what Bonus Accumulator is focusing on.

Thanks.

Well there are only casino offers now and I read some are more generous due to lack of sports. But still you have to roll over a lot to get value from the small +EV

I'd say that in sports betting it is really difficult to win because you don't know all details. There are many fixed matches I'm sure...

You don’t need to know all the details, there are some syndicates that try to build the best handicapping model they can but as an individual you don’t have to get into modelling to make money. (I think we’ve seen the pitfalls of bad modelling demonstrated publicly a few times in recent years courtesy of the financial crisis and now the current pandemic - in gambling though you’re placing rather simple bets and doing so quite frequently, if your modelling is bad you’ll go bust fairly quickly).

As an individual you could look at what Americans call “line shopping”, perhaps use say betfair or online bookie pinnacle as a good estimate of the true odds (sharp players are welcome there so in effect you’re getting the net result of how some handicappers have shaped the price), look for value among bookies offering better prices than those venues.

Problem here is lots of bookies don’t like winners*, sometimes they screw up and fail to update prices quickly enough, sometimes perhaps they just have a book that’s balanced that way or sometimes they’ll offer really good prices in order to promote them/attract punters... you’ll find yourself limited or banned fairly quickly at most if you just seek to find value.

*i don’t mean people who would otherwise be losers but got lucky, they’re still basically losers in the long run provided they carry on gambling but people would actually win because they have an edge.

I'm thinking about signing up to Profit Acc but I was going to wait until sports takes off. However, having read their site they seem to think existing customers will get better offers than new?

Thoughts? A ploy to get people to sign up to their site early or genuine insight?

Anybody's guess tbh. I suspect the bookies will be screaming for business so will throw everything including the kitchen sink at it once the Premier League kicks off again.

It sounds a bit dubious (do they offer any evidence/reason for this, like specific offers bookies have used to try to attract punters to play again?) - generally (or at least historically) the signup offers are a bit nicer/easier... in fact in plenty of cases people would generally want to blitz through those and then that's it, they've done their matched betting.

It doesn't really matter either way though - important question is simply what sign up offers are available now? If you've got sufficient stuff to bet on (foreign football, horse racing starting again) and the offers are available then I don't see why you can't start now.

matched betting is not a random bet.

i cant remember the details and didn't do it for years but its something like.

you have an offer for a free bet of £20 if you make a bet of £20

you then go to one of the various websites that calculates odds, you scan for a sporting even where the odds for and against are in alignment.

you can bet on say Newcastle winning on one site and Newcastle losing on another.

either outcome will ensure you make minimal losses probably a few pence

you now have a free 20£ bet.
you then find another betting site with a similar offer and do the same.

maybe you lose 1-2 quid on both bets but now you have two free bets for £20 and obviously your getting at least this amount regardless of the result when you do another "matched bet"

covering any minimal losses and leaving you with a profit

Appreciate the input. Is using Profit Acc the best way to get into it, especially for a noob?

Never used them, so can't comment. I'm still with Yesbets who have been slacking immensely lately, but their matching software is great. When they're on form they're great, hopefully they pull their finger out soon and get back to business as usual.

Theres a few extras, but to be honest WH has been generous since racing started with daily happy hour and the 2nd everyday, plus paddy and sky have been doing a daily money back special.

I guess theres B365 to try and rinse, Unibet 15 to go is also on but they will soon gub you.

If you do the WH offer everyday you can get up the tiers, the max one I have seen is £50 cash back if second.
