Mate has BEES Help!

My mate has bees at the bottom of the garden.

They are not honey bees,they have dug a hole in the back of his garden.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of them?

They are burrowing in the soil.

Are you sure it is bees and not badgers?

Yes.

They are small fly and have yellow stripy jackets on

Sure it's not wasps, bees don't dig but iirc wasps have been known to exhibit that behaviour when nesting?

No definitely not Wasps.

They are bigger

A quick goole suggests it might be wasps

I think they are mining bees (or digger bees)

They're a breed of bee's that have been able to withstand the onslaught of the deadly disease that has wiped out most of the bee's in the UK. And you're going to kill more of them

I think his son's safety when playing in the garden is more important to him.

Contact your local council Pest Control office. They'll provide advice and will probably deal with it (for a fee)

They don't deal with bees...Just wasps.
