Indeed, but in the last two weeks it hasn't varied that much! I just wanted to see what difference a clean EGR was making! I'll wait until next month and then I can reset it.

Just fill in some state each time you fill it, can easily see when and where something went wrong or what difference fixing it made so long as the difference is larger than about 2mpg.

FYI, your 2 points are only one least significant digit apart, the difference could be precisely the sum total of jack. You need to test over a tank TBH.
