We were just having a discussion on how people pronounce ln (natural log). I was saying "lun" and others were saying "el en"

Who is right? Is there even a right answer?

Can a mod make a poll please?

For ln, I say "el en". It is an abbreviation for "logarithm naturale" which I believe is French.

I have a friend you says "lon", I thought it was really strange. After dealing with natural logs for a while I end up just saying "log" rather than "el en" which is what I usually say, but that's just because I'm lazy.

I say it somewhere between lyn lun and lin. though tbh more and more people now seem to be saying log. i dont like that though!
