Maths Riddle

You borrow the following money from:

Mum - £50
Dad - £50

You buy a present for £97 and have £3 change from £100

You then split the change, so from the 3 pound coins you give

Mum - £1
Dad - £1
put £1 in the charity box.

So really you have only borrowed from your parents

Mum - £49
Dad - £49
= £98

£98 + that £1 you put in the charity box = £99.

Wheres the other £1 ?? :)

No.

£98 - £1 that you put in the charity box = £97.

There is no other £1.

That line in bold is a completely irrelevant and misleading sum :p

If an Elephant weighs 850Kg and travels 12 Km a day eating 25Kg of food and 20Km a day but eating 40Kg of food where do the people who actually give a **** live?
