ive just bought myself a E8500 and a p5k-vm and just for the life of me cannot decide on which case to get, top of the list atm is the Lian Li V350 or Silverstone Sugo S03 (poss S01 too) which one offers the best cooling and which will take the larger gfx card? Is a 3870x2 or 8800GTX poss in either?

well ive decided to go with something different :) a silverstone Temjin TJ08, i like the classic Lian Li style plus i prefer the traditional layout of the case just smaller, im not a fan of having the psu directly about the cpu cooler (although ive not had that much experience with them, bar one) i will put some pics up when it arrives :)

The only thing about the TJ08 that I don't like is that it is so massivly overpriced.

The Coolermaster 340 Elite is the exact same case just with a different front, yet its 1/3rd the price of the TJ08.

Still tis a nice case, lots of space and you can fit watercooling in easy if you decided to go down that path.

Overpriced? Its cheaper than SG01, SG03 and V350 from where ive bought it :)

*edit* Just meant you must mean in comparison to the Elite, hmmm having said that its about twice the price of the elite, but imo it looks far better

No question it looks nicer, but I can't see how Silverstone can charge 3x the price on an elite just for a different front!

The actual chassis is identicle.

I do like the case a lot, infact it is high up on my list of possible mATX cases when I do change, just the silly price that puts me off.

I know what you mean, but £58 seems ok to me :), ive actually ordered the black one, god knows why i posted silver pics lol

Yeah £58 sounds reasonable when the SG01/03 and V350B are all in the £90's.

Its only compared to the £22 cost of the Elite 340 that it looks expensive!

Anyway, enough of my whining :D Its a pimp case.

What's going in it?

hehe I hear what your saying ;)

erm atm its a P5k-vm and E8500 havent decided on gpu just yet, im leaning towards a 3870x2.....

not got the case yet but i have the majority of the bits and have vista etc running nicely at 3.8ghz :)

quite impressed by the little thing especially as its practically silent

got the case, and i really like it, but the probs is my Reaper HPC ram is too tall to allow the hdd in the lower drive bay :( i'll have to try and flog that and get something new, it will go in one of the upper bays but then i cant get the bezel on and it looks a bit daft

Have you got the case fans connected? As wondered how much extra noise they added when run directly off molex connection

The single yellow wires coming off the case fans. Found a use for them? I'm guessing they are for RPM use only so need a bay device to connect them up?

Fans have been changed to 3 pin ones connected to a fan controller now, the yellow wires connect to the motherboard to detect the rpm
