mATX or mITX

given it's got pretty much the same external dimensions (as original Prodigy) and can accomodate mATX as well as ITX, definitely yes.

just not sure about UK availability. In Germany it starts shipping 14/10 as of today.

id prefer that nicer boards for atx means i can accomodate more ram etc in future with prospect of a second card also?

ITX come with single PCI-E so 2nd card is not an option.

mATX + Prodigy M is your best bet in this case. You'd just have to wait a bit.

If your only gaming, 8GB would be fine and most ITX boards can accommodate 16gb but you only get 1 PCIe slot.

What is your budget?

Snips is right, 8gb is plenty for gaming and most other tasks you're likely to throw at it. 16gb is overkill unless you're rendering large scenes, running a server or if you're editing large video files I believe it can help.

I'd say the only real limitation of ITX is the single PCIe slot. And perhaps the lack of case choice to some degree, though if you already like the Prodigy then that's not an issue, other than the fact that for an ITX case it is enormous, hence them being able to redesign it to fit a mATX board in it without changing the dimensions lol :)

I've got a little 3770K ITX build with a GTX 670 and I love it, the only thing I want to do is get a nice small case for it, but it's proving difficult to find something I like. There are a lot of ITX cases hitting the market soon so I've got it running in an old full ATX case whilst I'm waiting.

Budgets around £1450 including prephs.. im trying to go for a red theme inside too

So was looking at a 3.4 i5 Haswell, 8GB Ram, 120ssd, 1TB hdd, 550w-650w psu, undecided on a gfx card and the mobos a problem to fit with the theme im going for.

Also i was looking at the following prephs:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-078-RA

So ideally would like to build around these - Alex

It's a pretty basic spec motherboard but it depends what you need from it.

It's got 2 sata 6gbs and 2 sata 3gbs and a header for the cases front mounted, USB 3.0's.

You could sacrifice the water cooler and get a better graphics card if you wanted but I just think it looks so awesome with the red coolant.

I dont need windows, so thats 80 quid we could throw towards the gnu or mono?

Ah I wasn't sure and forgot to ask.

Smidgen over but now you can overclock it and justify having the wicked water cooler lol :D

Also new board is Xfire compatible so if you wanted you could up the PSU to a 750W for an extra £36 and have the option of adding a second card later if you wanted to, could also sacrifice the water cooler for an air cooler to do this.
