I think the board is upside down because the PSU is in the front. If the board was normal, then you'd be limited with the length of your GPU because the power supply is in the way.

^ exactly that. you would only be able to fit a medium sized GPU in the case if it wasnt inverted

They have also not gone for the 'psu behind the mobo tray' idea because it limits air cooler size dramatically.

Glad they finally decided to do this, for the size of the prodigy the m-atx makes so much more sense. However decided to go with the 350d didn't realise this was on the horizon.
