Server architecture has improved beyond the 64 players we seem to be lumbered with since the last 20 years+.

This is not beyond realms of possibility for slow paced shooting, not twitch shooters but could work for slower paced games which this seems to be.

used to play on 200 player servers for Joint operations and that game is old. Devs are just lazy these days. But mostly its down to games being developed for console plebs instead of the PC master race.

Just signed up on their website (mavericks.gg) and will be in the October beta. 1000 player games and stuff like permanent foot prints and used med kits etc is very ambitious.

Just means another 999 players to rage at due to hits not registering.

You wont have 1000/400 people in the same zone so not really true 1000/400 people.

will work how MAG worked that supported 256 players

It had a tiny bit of first person footage in it near the end but it looked absolutely woeful

Not sure the options was greyed out for me till Thursday, it's a bit of a gamble considering how little information there is on the game regardless.
