Max frame count at 4K I hope

Hoping to play dota2 in leagues at 4K so when the ultimates drop and my frame rates half I will have decent frame rates I will be planing to do this with Spotify and discord running and streaming with delay

Planing on buying in the next 4-6 weeks
Budget 5k or less but flexible if needs to be.


My present system was objectively a failure not reaching my desired frame rates at 1440p

With a 3080



It’s likely overkill dota dosent really use more than 6 cores far as I’m aware

Yup that is definitely overkill GPU wise anything over 5070 you'll not really get anymore frames in dota, CPU is limiting factor in DOTA it seems, you can see in that vid the 5090 is ticking along at 60-70%

Just using the 9800x3d will probably do you too if you are solely a dota target

Would a better build not be games machine just for Dota which would be pared back a lot from that + machine for all the other stuff with external capture, so no game interruption, you've got the budget for it?
