Max GPU temp?

My XFX 4890XT keeps hitting 100+'c. Is this normal for ATI?

*Edit* PC keeps locking up and getting stupid lines on my display.

Think RMA time.

Did that all 3 days ago, cleaned the whole of my case also. My 4890 idles at 72 with 50% fan speed!

Just put back in my 8800GTS and requested an RMA.

Actually, just gave my card a blow and more dust came out. Going to give it another blast with air tomorrow and give it another try.

Personally I'd give it another clean just to be sure, you did say more dust came out which is telling you it is a bit clogged. My temps dropped by 25 degrees after thoroughly cleaning mine. After a few months the dust will usually build up to where the idle temps rise. That's when you need to sort it out.

Obviously if this doesn't help them it's RMA time. Good luck.

Gave my card another clean out, idles at 63'c and gets no hotter than 86'c.
