Just brought this game yesterday on the PS2 from my corner shop and was amazed that it was better than the original Max Payne. The storyline is very unique and the game overall is great. I love how the game can go to a dream now and then just like the original. I brought it just yesterday and im already on chapter 2 in less than an hour so i was wondering how many chapters there was and if this game is gonna go on much longer for me? I obviously would like it to go on for some time to keep me busy after work and in my spare time so if anyone can give me there views on the game and the answers to my questions it would be much appreciated.

The story is really short, but good :) There is a fair amount of replay value in the different hardnesses and modes that you can play through after you have completed it.

If you've got a PC, you should also give it a whirl on that. They had to make sacrifices for the PS2 version so you are not getting the full experience.

The game is split up into 3 parts each containing several chapters, 7 or so. So if your only on Part 1 Chapter 2 you still have a way to go, it's a pretty short game overall though.

Ok thanks for the info lads, I've got a PC but didn't really think about buying MP2 because as i said before i was just browsing the few games that were in my corner shop and decided MP2 was the best there.

I just played some MP2 just before work and i have to say its getting better and better every mission but theres just one thing that hit me and that is what im going to say next. What is wrong with the.....graphics. PS2 has made legendary games which had both legendary gameplay and graphics so i don't know why MP2 has such poor graphics for a console which can produce some good graphics.

Your Thoughts.

Dunno - this is what I was on about above. Maybe it's something to do with the fact that the MP games use completely photo-digitized textures and they just used a load of them in this game?

And with the PS2's limited memory Remedy had to lower the res of the textures a lot.

Damn you, I was going to start a thread on this!

Reinstalled it the other day, and am playing it through at 1920x1200 :D

Silky smooth at full detail, with great graphics, plot, gameplay and atmosphere.

Really is a great game if you've never played it. I refer to it among friends as the last decent game I played (before i reinstalled it)

Yeah i agree with you mate, just installed it on PC for the best gameplay possible and at the resolution above and it played very well. I also recommend this for all gamers who have never played this game.
