Is there any way that I can connect my retail copy of Max Payne 3 to Steam? I would have bought it from Steam if it wasn't such a ridiculous size (30GB) as I currently have a bandwidth limit of 1.5GB before I get capped to 200KB/s for 5 hours before being reallocated another 1.5GB by my ISP. Downloading 30GB would have taken me days, maybe even weeks, so I understandably opted to choose a retail copy from here.
Now when I try to add a game to Steam, it says my Max Payne 3 CD Key is invalid?
Here is photographic proof I own a legit copy of the game, bought from Overclockers UK because I am aware there are idiots out there who would probably pirate and then come here looking for a work around:
Outside of the box
Inside of the box
P.S this is just a copy + paste of my topic on the Steam forums, just wanted more insight. (especially as they are inactive)
P.S.S I'm pretty new to Steam!

Steam is still oppressive bloatware drm. Its shocking how over the past 5 or 6 years everyone has just accepted it.
