Max Payne Series

There is a link there to download the Max Payne Vista Sound Fix. I've just tried this and it works perfectly.

To install the game:

x:\Disk1\Setup.exe then patch to 1.05 then run the sound fix. I have Vista x64 and it works superbly. You may get an error about not having enough memory (I have 4GB) but ignore this and continue on.

End of chapter 1 at the moment and no problems! Except that I rememebr being better at the game than I actually am now!

EDIT:: Patch works on both retail and Steam versions!

Just rebought it!

After this on to Max Payne 2! I hope there is going to be a Max Payne 3 which finishes off the series as the ending of 2, to me, means there is going to be more but it's been such a long time now so I'm doubtful.

Never doubt the power of franchise. When big companies start looking around, they will pick up on it, be it better, average or crap. Look at Fallout 3, picked up long after (yea i know, the story is different and isn't contineous like MP.)

I look back at Max Payne 1 with rose tinted glasses. I still do, as i can't get it to install under Vista :p

Gave Max Payne 2 a try, and lost interested after the first few levels :(

Does right clicking on the installer and running in compatability mode with Windows XP SP2 work?
