Generally you should have little problem with up to 1600MHz RAM using a stock (133MHz BCLK) i7 950. However, if you want to use RAM with much higher frequencies you will have to overclock the CPU (to achieve a higher BCLK), and also hope your integrated memory controller is a good one.
OCUK do sell 2000MHz rated RAM kits, so if your system can handle it - that is pretty much the top-end "stock" RAM speed.
