MaxDSL connection getting worse and worse

This is my first ADSL connection and it's just getting worse and worse. I understand you aren't guaranteed to get 8mbps, but I'd definitely expect better than a 1.5mbps interleaved connection. How can it be this rubbish? It's not as if I live in the middle of nowhere... I live in a city FFS!

From your previous thread, it sounded like you had some sort of fault - it's barely an indictment of ADSL that it doesn't work on faulty lines.
Has your attenuation, SNR margin et al improved since previously (even if they haven't, to save digging for the old thread, could you post them anyway)?

Those attenuation values still look wrong - there's no way the upstream attenuation should be that high. Is there any issue with the voice service?

No the voice service is just fine.

Try another modem (it wouldn't be unheard of for a modem to report garbage) and/or speak to the ISP, assuming the ISP care.
